Pornvipa Tangcharoenmonkong
Senior Director of the International Department, Bank of Thailand

Pornvipa is currently the Senior Director of the International Department, Bank of Thailand.

She started her career at the Bank of Thailand in 1998 as an economist in the Research Department, which was later become the Monetary Policy Group. She has been in various positions, mostly in the area of monetary policy, macroeconomic surveillance, public finance, and international cooperation, including FTA negotiations.

She has resumed her position as Senior Director of the International Department since 1 October 2025. She will be leading the BOT team in preparing for the IMF-World Bank Annual Meeting which Thailand will be the host country in October 2026.

Pornvipa was the Bank of Thailand’s scholar. After graduated from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School (Satit Chula) in 1991, she briefly studied at the faculty of engineering, Chulalongkorn University, before taking the Bank of Thailand’s scholarship to study in the United Kingdom. She holds a master degree in economics from London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) and a bachelor degree in economics from Cambridge University. She also got a bachelor degree in laws from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University.
