XIE Qunsong

Mr. Xie is currently the deputy chairman of the Board of Directors at UnionPay International (UPI). Before joining UPI, he served as Executive Vice President at China UnionPay (CUP). His previous roles include Vice President at China UnionPay Merchant Services (UMS), General Manager of the Strategic Development and Legal Compliance Department at CUP, and Director of the General Office at CUP. Prior to his tenure at UnionPay, Mr. Xie held positions as Deputy Chief of the Research and Planning Section and Deputy Director of the Payment Systems Research Office at the Payment and Settlement Department of the People’s Bank of China.

Mr. Xie holds a Ph.D. in Economics.
