Jun Zhang is a professor in Institute of semiconducotrs, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His current researches focus on light-phonon interaction in semiconductors, such as sideband Raman cooling of lattice phonons, optical refrigeration, and optical properties of 2D layered materials. Recently, he achieved the laser cooling in semiconductors by 40 Kelvin, and demonstrated the sideband Raman cooling of optical phonon in semiconductors. He has published more than 60 journal papers in Nature, Nature Photonics, Nano Letters, ACS Nano ect.
