Zhanjun Gu

Zhanjun Gu, male, graduated from the
Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007, followed by a
postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Georgia in the United States. He
joined the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in
October 2009 as an associate professor and was promoted to professor in
December 2016.
Research interest: Controlled synthesis of
nanomaterials and their biomedical applications
Main work and achievements: Dr. Gu has been engaged
in the design and synthesis of novel multifunctional nanomaterials and their
applications in bioimaging, cancer treatment and nano-biology safety. In recent
years, Dr. Gu has published 115 research papers (SCI paper 112) on cutting-edge
international academic journals, including Adv. Mater. (7), ACS Nano (6), Adv.
Funct. Mater. (1), NPG Asia Mater. (1), Small (3), Theranostics (1),
Biomaterials (3), J. Mater. Chem. (8), Nanoscale (8). Among which, 72 papers
were published as first author or corresponding author, including 14 papers
with IF> 10, 33 papers IF> 5, and his accumulated impact factor is over
600. He has acquired 8 invention patents; 11 papers were selected as ESI highly
cited papers, highest quotation 403 times; 7 articles were selected as current
cover articles and a number of research work were reported by international
websites (e.g. Materials Views) as research highlights; SCI index over 4200
times (more than 2,000 times in the past three years); he has been invited to
write three chapters in three monographs; also invited to write Reviews and
research progress reports on Advanced Materials, Small, Asian Chemistry, J.
Mater. Chem. B and Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology; He becomes young
editor on Science Bulletin, young member of China Nano Toxicology Society and China
Nano Anti-Cancer Society Standing Committee; received the CAS Dean Excellence
Award, Young Talent Award of CAS Institute of High Energy Physics, CAS Lu Jiaxi
Young Talent Award and Selected as an outstanding member of CASS Youth
Innovation Association; he also has been in charge of Ministry of Science and
Technology 973 project (1), National Natural Science Foundation of China (4)
and the Chinese Academy of Sciences project (3).
