Chai Zhifang
放射化学家,中国科学院院士。柴之芳院士长期致力于核技术和核分析方法学的发展以及与其他学科的交叉,利用核技术研究金属组学、环境毒理学、纳米安全性。发表论文600余篇,出版中英文专著14部。曾获全国科学大会奖、国家自然科学二等奖、国家科技进步二等奖、中国科学院自然科学一等奖等国家级和部委级奖9项。 2005年获国际放射分析化学和核化学领域的最高奖-George vonHevesy奖。201 9年获中国科学院杰出科技成就奖。
Academician Chai Zhifang, radiochemist, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician Chai Zhifang has long been committed to the development of nuclear technology and nuclear analysis methodology and its intersection with other disciplines. He uses nuclear technology to study metallomics, environmental toxicology, and nano-safety. He has published more than 600 papers and 14 monographs in Chinese and English. He has won 9 national and ministerial level awards, including the National Science Conference Award, the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2005, he won the George vonHevesy Award, the highest award in the field of international radioanalytical chemistry and nuclear chemistry. In 2019, he won the Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Pedro J. J. Alvarez
生物修复和环境纳米技术领域国际知名学者,美国国家工程院院士、中国工程院外籍院士,美国Rice大学土木与环境工程系George R. Brown讲席教授。因其在水科学与技术领域的杰出成就,获得2012年美国水处理领域最高学术荣誉克拉克奖(Clarke Prize) 以及2014年美国环境工程师和科学家协会年度最高奖励。2014年当选中国科学院外籍名誉教授。过去20多年间,Pedro J. J. Alvarez教授与南开大学、南京大学、中国科学院生态环境研究中心等单位开展了密切合作,促成Rice大学与南开大学合作成立中美环境修复与可持续发展中心,为我国环境纳米领域学科发展和培养具有国际视野的青年人才做出了突出贡献。
A world-renowned scholar in the fields of bioremediation and environmental nanotechnology, an academician of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, George R. Brown Chair Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Rice University, USA. Because of his outstanding achievements in the field of water science and technology, he won the highest academic honor in the field of water treatment in the United States, the Clarke Prize in 2012, and the highest annual award of the American Association of Environmental Engineers and Scientists in 2014. In 2014, he was elected as a foreign honorary professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. For the past 20 years, Professor Pedro J.J. Alvarez has been closely cooperating with universities and institutes such as Nankai University, Nanjing University, and the Ecological Environmental Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He helped establish the Sino-US Center for Environmental Remediation and Sustainable Development in cooperation with Nankai University and Rice University, making significant contributions to the development of the discipline of environmental nanotechnology in China and the cultivation of young talents with international perspectives.
