Mr. ZHOU Liang was appointed Vice Chairman of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) and a member of the CPC CBIRC Committee in March 2018. Mr. ZHOU was elected as a delegate to the 19th CPC National Congress, and is currently a member of the 19th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).

Prior to this appointment, Mr. ZHOU had worked at the General Office of Guangdong Provincial Government, the Office for Economic Restructuring of the State Council, the General Office of CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, the General Office of Beijing Municipal Government, and the CCDI successively since 1996. At the CCDI, Mr. ZHOU had assumed positions of the Deputy Secretary-General, the Executive Deputy Director-General and the Director-General (Vice Minister level) of the Organization Department. In November 2017, Mr. ZHOU was appointed Vice Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) and a member of the CPC CBRC Committee.

Mr. ZHOU was born in Yongzhou, Hunan Province in October 1971. He joined the CPC in January 1995 and started his career in July 1996. Mr. ZHOU holds a master’s degree in economics.
