Vision
The Annual Master Forum of Asian Financial Cooperation Association (herein referred to as AFCA) is held annually in the countries or regions where the members are located. It aims to build a premium brand financial forum as the communication platform of high-end financial thoughts; to converge financial elites and opinion leaders in the region and beyond to elaborate penetrating insights and spark constructive thoughts, focusing on international financial frontier issues; to compile thoughts into AFCA High-end Views for Financial Frontier Issues, make voice in international finance circle, and strive for uniqueness.
2020 Annual Master Forum
2020 Annual Master Forum- Asian Financial Summit Forum and Asian Financial Think Tank Annual Forum (2020) is scheduled to be held on December 2nd-3rd, 2020 in Guangzhou, China. It hosted by AFCA and supported by Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee and Guangzhou Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau. With the theme of New Trends of Global Financial Cooperation amid the Impact of Pandemic, the forum will explore hot topics of frontiers in finance, share best financial practices, build industry consensus, integrate financial resources in Asia, and provide a diverse, efficient, and innovative platform for all members to exchange and cooperate.
This forum plans to invite senior management of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, officials of People’s Government of Guangdong Province, senior managements and economists from members of AFCA, senior executives of large financial institutions from China and other countries and regions, experts and scholars of financial industry, representatives of local financial institutions, representatives of relevant international organizations, and other participants.
Past Forums
AFCA CEE Financial Summit Forum
On November 28 and 29, 2017, AFCA held its First Annual Master Forum, “AFCA CEE Financial Summit Forum” in Budapest, Hungary. The forum, themed as “New Chapter of Asia-Europe Financial Cooperation”, was jointly organized by AFCA, Magyar Nemzeti Bank, and the Hungarian Banking Association. Mr. Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, Mr. György Matolcsy, Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, Mr. Mihaly Varga, Minister of Hungarian Ministry of National Economy, Mr. Huang Hong, Vice Chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, attended this forum, along with other 260 delegates of international financial institutions from more than 20 countries and regions.
AFCA Tokyo Financial Summit Forum
On September 10th, 2018, the 2018 Annual Master Forum of AFCA, AFCA Tokyo Financial Summit Forum, was held in Tokyo, Japan. This year’s forum, themed “Financial Innovation and Cooperation in the context of the Development of Emerging Industries”, was co-held by AFCA, MUFG Bank (China), Ltd., Mizuho Bank (China) and Sumitomo Mitsui Bank (China). Mr. Nishida Makoto, member of House of Councilors (Komeito) and Mr. Odawara Kiyoshi, Member of House of Representatives of Liberal Democratic Party attended the forum and delivered speeches. Mr. Huang Hong, Vice Chairman of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech on Deepening International Financial Cooperation and Jointly Building the Future for Asian Financial Industries. Mr. Shibata Satoshi, Counselor of Comprehensive Policy Bureau, Japan Financial Services Agency also attended in the forum. Mr. Tian Guoli, the Chairman of the Council of AFCA and President of China Construction Bank and Mr. Eiichi Yoshikawa, President of MUFJ Bank (China) Limited and Deputy President of MUFG Bank Limited attended the meeting and delivered an opening speech. Over 300 media representatives and participants from financial regulators, AFCA member institutions and non-member financial institutions from nearly 20 countries attended the forum.
AFCA Bangkok Financial Summit Forum
On October 31, AFCA Bangkok Financial Summit Forum was held successfully. The forum, themed “Strengthening Financial Cooperation and Boosting Connectivity”, was jointly organized by AFCA and Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited. Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool, Deputy Secretary General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs of Royal Thai Government, attended this forum and gave an Opening Keynote. Mr. Liang Tao, Vice Chairman of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, attended the forum and delivered the Opening Keynote entitled “Opening a New Journey for Asian Financial Connectivity”. Over 200 media representatives and participants from governments, financial regulators, economic monitoring agencies, AFCA member institutions and non-member financial institutions from nearly 20 countries attended the forum.
