Symposium Introduction

“Ultrasonic Materials Science and Technology” is an emerging interdisciplinary field associated with the generation and application of ultrasound in materials science. This symposium aims to share the recent developments in the modulation of microstructure and property of various materials by ultrasound, especially in the solidification, welding, and chemical synthesis process. 

Symposium Topics

(1) Preparation and properties of functional and structural materials for generating ultrasonic wave;
(2) Design and manufacture of high performance ultrasonic transducers, sensors, and actuators based on new materials;
(3) Synthesis and property modulation of novel materials in high intensity ultrasonic field;
(4) Principle and technology of material processing using power ultrasound;
(5) Mechanism and methods for characterizing the structure and properties of materials by ultrasound;
(6) Physical effect and chemical reaction process in ultrasonic field;
(7) Principle and progress of ultrasound application in biomedical field;
(8) Multidisciplinary research related to ultrasound.
