Regulations for the Excellent Paper Award

In order to further create an academic atmosphere, encourage more young scientific workers and students to engage in research on control theory, and further improve the quality of academic papers and the impact of the conference, the "FASTA Outstanding Youth Paper Award" and "FASTA Best Student Paper Award" are established, and these regulations are formulated.

Award establishment:

■ The "FASTA Outstanding Youth Paper Award" includes 1-2 papers per year;

■ FASTA Best Student Thesis Award with 1-3 papers per year.

Application qualifications:

■ The Outstanding Youth Thesis Award is open to young scientific and technological workers (who must be under 40 years old at the time of submission, excluding current students);

■ The Best Student Thesis Award is open to current students (excluding postdoctoral fellows);

■ All papers selected for the Excellent Paper Award can be written in both Chinese and English, and the candidate is the first author of the paper;

■ The academic achievements of the paper must be original and not publicly published.

Application Procedure:

■ Download and fill out the "Excellent Youth Thesis Award Application Form" or "Best Student Thesis Award Application Form".

■ Submit the first draft of the paper in the conference paper management system along with the application form (in PDF format).

Selection method:

■ Establish an excellent thesis award review committee, with the chairman of the procedural committee serving as the chairman, and one deputy director, one secretary, and 3-5 members nominated by the chairman;

■ When the number of awarding members present at the meeting is less than two-thirds of the total number of members, the chairman of the awarding committee may hire well-known experts present at the meeting to be added as the awarding members for this awarding event;

■ The paper must first pass the conference review, and then the award committee invites relevant experts to conduct a written review to determine the selected paper. The first author of the selected paper must personally attend the meeting to participate in the defense of the award committee, otherwise the eligibility for the award will be cancelled;

■ The award committee will select the winning and nominated papers based on the quality, reading level, and defense situation of the papers, and announce the selection results and award them at the FASTA award ceremony.

Rewards:

For excellent papers evaluated in accordance with the provisions of these regulations, the following rewards shall be given:

■ Issue an award certificate, which shall be signed by the chairman of the conference and the chairman of the award committee;

■ Award bonuses

Attention:

■ If the paper is ultimately shortlisted, the applicant needs to provide proof of identity, age, etc.

■ On the first day of the conference, all outstanding paper awards will be presented in the same group. Unreported papers will be disqualified from being awarded.

Supplementary Provisions:

■ If there are any objections to the selected papers, they should be reported to the meeting procedure committee;

■ If the author of the paper is a member of the award committee, the principle of avoidance shall be adopted during the award process;

■ If the participating papers engage in academic misconduct such as fabrication, tampering, and plagiarism, their eligibility for selection should be cancelled. For outstanding papers that have already won awards, the award certificate and prize money should be recovered, and the units where all authors of the paper belong should be notified;

■ This regulation is formulated and interpreted by the Procedure Committee of the Conference on All Drive System Theory and Application.
