Option #1 — West Gate Wander: An Afternoon of Old Canton's Leisure
Yongqing Fang
Yongqing Fang, located in the heart of Guangzhou's Liwan District along Enning Road, stands as a remarkable example of urban renewal that perfectly blends Lingnan culture with modern vitality. This historic district, once a bustling commercial center during the Qing Dynasty, has been transformed into a vibrant cultural and tourist destination while preserving its authentic architectural heritage.
Cantonese Opera Art Museum
The Cantonese Opera Art Museum in Guangzhou, located at 127 Enning Road in the historic Liwan District, is a premier cultural site dedicated to preserving Cantonese opera, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Opened in 2016, it combines Lingnan-style garden architecture with over 5,000 artifacts, including costumes, masks, and scripts, while offering free, live performances in an immersive setting.

Bai'etan Greater Bay Area Art Center
The new Bai'etan Greater Bay Area Art Center is a showcase of Lingnan — southern Chinese — culture in all its forms. It comprises three distinct yet interconnected venues with more than 40,000sqm of exhibition space: the Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Guangdong Literature Museum and the Guangdong Museum of Art (GDMoA).
Canton Tower
Canton Tower is located at an intersection of Guangzhou New City Central Axis and Pearl River, facing directly Haixinsha Island and Zhujiang New Town. It is currently the highest tower in China and the third highest tower in the world. Canton Tower is 600 meters high, with 450 meters of its main body and 150 meters of its antenna, which makes it the highest tower in China and third highest in the world. The tower shows a spirit of dynamic Guangzhou welcoming challenges and embracing the world.

Shamian Island
Shamian Island is a tranquil, pedestrian-friendly historical district in Guangzhou, China, showcasing over 150 European-style buildings from its 19th-century British and French concession era. Located on the Pearl River, this former strategic hub now offers scenic tree-lined streets, boutique hotels, cafes, and preserved colonial architecture in the Liwan District.
Practical Notes
- All tours assemble at LN Garden Hotel Nansha Guangzhou lobby at 13:00.
- Itinerary includes transportation and guide services, ending at Bingsheng Seafood Restaurant.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
2. Banquet
Founded in 1996, Bing Sheng has long been a celebrated ambassador of authentic Cantonese cuisine in Guangzhou. Recognized as a Michelin-selected restaurant for eight consecutive years, it blends Lingnan cultural elements with modern design. It is known for signature dishes like Fish Sashimi and Crispy Skin Char Siu. Its dish "Country Pork Stewed with Special Tofu" was awarded the title of Lingnan Famous Brand Food at the 2006 Guangzhou International Food Festival. The brand began introducing innovative cuisines such as the Scenery Tofu Banquet in 2004. It was consecutively selected in the iiMedia Ranking for the Top 10 Most Popular Cantonese Cuisine Brands and Guangzhou Morning Tea Brands among Netizens in 2018 and 2019. In 2022, it entered the Top 50 and Top 100 lists of Guangdong Catering Chain Brands. Its flagship store in Zhujiang New Town integrates elements of Xiguan Culture.
3. Pearl River Night Cruise
The Pearl River Night Cruise sails through the iconic Canton Tower and the golden waterways of the Pearl River, offering a vivid panorama of Guangzhou's history and modern charm. The Cruise covers the golden waters from Canton Tower to Pearl River. When tourists get onboard of the boat, they can view the scenery when recalling Guangzhou's history as well as its rapid development in current years, as if Guangzhou's thousand-year history slowly unfolds in front of their eyes, as the breeze seems to be telling anecdotes of the golden age. Tourists may appreciate the courage and charm of Guangzhou as a national central city and commercial capital with a history of thousands of years.
