Dr. Jian Liu, an Associate professor at the School of Energy and Environment, Southeast University, serves as the Technical Leader of the Pre-research Project of the National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure named "Polar and Extreme Environment Simulation Experimental Facility". His research expertise spans low-grade waste heat utilizationLNG cold energy recycling technologies, and artificial regulation of extreme multi-factor coupled environments. With 47 high-quality publications (including 19 first-author and 3 corresponding-author SCI papers, 10 EI/core journal papers) and 7 authorized patents, he has led key projects such as the Jiangsu Innovation Capacity Building Program (3.1 million CNY), the National Key R&D Sub-project on low-carbon building heat sources, and the LNG Cold Energy Utilization initiative (2.1 million CNY).

Naiping Gao — TongJi University



Prof Gao Naiping, the vice dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering in Tongji University, specializes in the research of building thermal physics and HVAC. He has been continuously recognized as one of China's Most Cited Researchers and has been listed among the top 2% of global scientists by Stanford University. He serves as an editorial board member for the journals Building and Environment and Energy and Buildings, as well as the associate editor of Discovery Mechanical Engineering. Professor Gao has led more than ten national-level research projects, including five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published 103 SCI-indexed journal papers and holds over 20 authorized invention patents. He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Second Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of Huaxia Construction Science and Technology, the Special Prize of Shanghai Water and Ocean Science and Technology, etc.

Suxin Qian — Xi'An Jiaotong University


Suxin Qian is a professor at Department of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He is a Scientific Committee Member of IIR Solid-state Cooling and Heating Working Group. His research interests include caloric cooling and advanced simulation for refrigeration and heat pump systems. To date, he has published more than 50 papers in renowned journals including Science.

Tony Song —— Midea Building Technologies

Tony SONG holds a Master’s degree in HVAC from Tongji University. He is a recipient of the “Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress First Prize” . He has contributed to the formulation of multiple national, group, and local standards.  Prior to joining Midea Group, he served as the Owner-side Global Campus HVAC Facility Operations and Energy Management Lead at Huawei, overseeing the full lifecycle management of large-scale HVAC and automation control projects. With over a decade of experience in a lot of new construction and retrofit projects (including data center), his expertise spans planning, design, delivery, operation & maintenance.  Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to delivering customized, scenario-specific green and low-carbon solutions for all stages of building facility lifecycles.

Ms. Neide Freitas, Ms. Marcia Oleskovicz, Mr. Jorge Boeira —— Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development




Neide Freitas is a Special Advisor at the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), where she leads the agency’s participation in COP30. She has a solid background in promoting sustainable solutions and businesses, strategic planning, project leadership, public management and modernization, and legislative processes. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Climate Change at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLÂNTICO). She also holds a specialization in Public Management and Modernization, as well as an MBA in Regulation, with a thesis focused on models for reducing economic and social inequalities in Brazil.


Marcia Oleskovicz is a journalist with a specialization in Energy Transition from PUC-PR, an MBA in Marketing from ESAD, and a postgraduate degree in Political Science from Unicesumar. She currently serves as a Productivity and Innovation Analyst at the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), where she leads projects in the areas of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. She has also contributed to initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence, startup support, and communication strategies within the agency.

Jorge Boeira is an Innovation and Productivity Analyst at the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), with extensive experience in industrial policy, innovation, education, and sustainability. He has led projects across various sectors, contributing to the development of Brazil’s industrial strategies. Mr. Boeira has lectured at the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) on sectoral studies and represented Brazil at CEM8 (2017, China) and CEM15 (2024, Brazil). From 2020 to 2023, he worked as an independent energy transition consultant for both national and international organizations. He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from UFRGS, a Master’s in Mineral Economics from UNICAMP, an MBA from FGV-SP, and certifications in Industrial Policy (UFMG) and Brazilian Tax Law (UCB-DF).

Fadel is a Senior Associate at CLASP, working on the Climate portfolio in Indonesia. He leads the development of new Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for water pumps, induction stoves, washing machines, and electric irons. Fadel holds a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University. His expertise lies in fostering collaboration between the government, laboratories, manufacturers, and associations for achieving more stringent appliance efficiencies.
