The global push for low-carbon development is accelerating the trend of electrification across various industries, thereby placing increasingly stringent demands on the performance of power and energy storage batteries. In recent years, niobium has achieved continuous breakthroughs in battery research and application, offering technological solutions to address persistent challenges in the battery industry. Since 2018, CITIC Metal Group and CBMM (Brazilian Metallurgy and Mining Company) have successfully co-hosted the "International Conference on Niobium-based Batteries" for seven consecutive years. As an international platform for industry-academia-research-application collaboration, the conference facilitates exchanges and cooperation across the entire industrial chain, showcasing the latest advancements in niobium-based battery research and application, and has received widespread acclaim from all sectors.

The "2025 (8th) International Conference on Niobium-based Batteries" will be held on October 29–30 (1.5-day duration) at the Cordis Hotel Shanghai Hongqiao. The event will focus on hot topics such as niobium in various high-performance cathode materials, niobium-based high-power anode materials and batteries, and solid-state batteries. Renowned domestic and international experts and scholars will be invited to deliver insightful presentations and engage in discussions. A dedicated session on "Niobium-Solid-State Batteries" will be organized on the morning of October 30. Additionally, the 2025 Outstanding Paper Award Ceremony for Niobium-Based Battery Research will take place during the symposium.
